Frequently Asked Questions

A summary of the main issues.

We recommend changing the sealing rings in our backwash units at regular intervals.

How long the seals last depends on the water hardness, among other factors. The ways in which they are used can also impact the quality of the rings.

In our experience, if you change the sealing rings regularly after 3 to 5 years, you will be on the safe side and enjoy your backwash unit for a long time.

We do our best to make the maintenance or repair of our units as easy as possible. Our units were designed with sophisticated technology, which was developed primarily to make the units as hassle-free as possible for our customers. If the sealing rings need to be changed, our illustrated instructions will help to make this quick and easy.

The clearest sign is a swishing or whirring sound. This is also intentional as there is a small, but clever safety device to ensure that the water flowing into the drain can be heard from the outside. It can also be that the water pressure has changed or the mix ratio of cold and warm water is no longer correct. When water leaks at one location of the backwash unit, the sealing ring is likely no longer leak tight.

With a bit of awareness and a good overview of your unit, you should never have to deal with a leak. Changing the sealing rings regularly is the proper maintenance for your backwash unit.
